Embrace Solitude for Growth – Enjoy the Journey

Every day we are faced with some new choices. Whether to live in peace or in continuous resistance is a choice. Also, whether to suffer from loneliness or enjoy solitude is a choice, which we must make sooner or later in our lives.

People often think being in solitude is being lonely. However, it is not so. Even though both the states make people to live alone, these two are not the same.

When you are lonely, you are in constant pain. It is a punishment which can make you hate your life. Eventually you will look for ways to end this state.

However, solitude is not a punishment. It is a divine gift. It gives you a chance to know yourself. In solitude, you find the meaning of life. You also get to plunge into the depth of your soul. In solitude, you behold the truest beauty of life.

So, now the question is – can you change loneliness into solitude? The good news is – yes you can turn your punishment into a divine gift. With effort, you can learn to appreciate being alone. There are some easy ways to turn the suffering into pleasure.

Change Your POV

Well, life is how you see it. So, you need to first change the way you look at being alone. You can either take it as punishment or you can consider this time a divine opportunity to grow, to learn and to be your truest self. So, the moment you change your view, you will step out of the dark lane and embrace Meditate a Lot

There is a misconception among general people. They mistake meditation as religion. The truth is – you don’t have to believe in God to meditate. You don’t even have to follow any particular religious belief to practice it. Meditation comes with various benefits. Positivity is one of the benefits. As you continue to meditate, you will understand the changes you are going through. You will find that being alone does not bother you anymore.

However, meditation is a difficult process. It might seem boring at times. You might not feel like appearing at the meditation space every day. Thus, you need to make some effort to make the process interesting.

You can decorate your meditation space to make it cheerful by adding candles, crystals and flowers. The choice is yours. You can do whatever you want with this space. There is no right way or wrong way of decorating meditation space.

Keep a Positivity Journal

Many call this gratitude journal as well. However, I call it positivity journal. Make sure to write down every good thing that is taking place around you. Don’t restrict yourself and look at the big picture only. Make sure to record even the tiniest incident which has made you smile. Eventually you will find that writing in this journal makes you happy and positive.

Reading is another effective way which will make you thankful for your alone time. You can surround yourself with books on spirituality. But, here also the choice is yours.

The idea is to work on yourself and prepare yourself for the future. Eventually you start appreciating your time with yourself.

With that I am wrapping it up today. I will be back with more on motivation.

Stay blessed
